Monday week ago my AAC device, which I call Aaron, decided to malfunction. The video connection on the main board went, so I took it to Novitatech to be repair yet however it the problem was more serious, subsequently Aaron is off to PRC in the UK to be fix. Thankfully I am able to use the normal keyboard on my laptop to a certain degree yet it is much slower and tiresome. Over the past ten days I have become quite adapted at using the mouse touchpad. Fortunately it is early in the semester and, with help of Disability SA, I have been able to hire another Vantage Plus AAC device while Aaron is away being fix. Now I can really get stuck into my university major project as well as start preparing the workshop on disability and discipleship I’m presenting at the Black Stump Christian Music and Art Festival in October.
