Aired on 18 June 2014 A story on using AAC with children with autism to learn to communication. I am not sure why but in the story they refer to the system as LAM which is a feature within the Minspeak software. The system with the icons is called Minspeak that allows the user to tap out what they want in a few selection, if they have memory! LAM is a feature within Minspeak that be turned on to allow therapists, and alike, access to the history of the system so usage of words and sentences, as well as, icon sequencing can assess. The show does highlight that can help develop language skills, contrary to the common myth that AAC can damage language development in children.
