An Email to the South Australian Premier
Yesterday, I received a Christmas political email from the Premier of South Australia, Steve Marshall.
Although, I knew it was a mass email sent to many on a mail out list, I felt the need to reply to his email. I am not sure if Steve would read it personally. Here is my response...
----
Merry Christmas to you too, Steve!
Up until a few weeks ago I was praising your handling of pandemic in SA. I feel I could go out, socialise and support our local community and community. I was sure I would vote for your party in the coming election, even I am totally dissatisfied with the Morrison’s Government. You were holding your ground. People felt safe and confidence in going out and businesses in SA were able to mostly operate. As a person with a severe disability, this was important to me. I thought I was living in one of safest places in world.
However, since you allow the borders to open and are relaxing restrictions, while COVID is still a major risk to people’s health and local businesses, everything has gone backward! For a party that is for businesses, you not helping businesses! This move alone will have long ruining effects on the state’s economy.
I understand you are not directly connected to the Federal government, but I wanted to let you know that Morrison’s current slogans of governments backing away from “being in the way of people’s lives” and individual’s responsibility is disgusting. Both Morrison and the NSW Premier are way out of touch with their latest stupid comments. At the time when we need strong leadership, yet again, Morrison is dropping the reins!
Please take back control of this situation. It is not too late. People are looking for strong leadership in these difficult times!
