Australian Communication Exchange acquires Printacall

Australian Communication Exchange (ACE) has acquired 100% ownership of a business known as Printacall.
“Printacall is Australia's leading organisation for products for hearing impaired, speech impaired and deaf people,” said ACE Chief Executive Officer, Sandy Gilliland. “Printacall provides assistive devices to enable a person with a hearing disability to communicate with others by telephone, or hear sound with greater clarity depending on the individual hearing loss”, he said.
“Located in Sydney, Printacall has a technical workshop and retail arm of the business selling a range of products, TTYs, alerts and alarms to assist deaf people to use the telephone and become aware of sounds. The Printacall workshop services and repairs TTY’s.”
“ACE is also excited that Printacall is the Australian distributor and service organisation for TTYs supplied from Ultratec in the USA. The distribution of CapTel handsets to those participants in ACE’s upcoming Captioned Telephony trial will also be through Printacall.”
Printacall is a specialist in the design and installation of audio loop systems (hearing augmentation systems) which may be installed in the home, office or in a public venue enabling a person wearing a hearing aid with a T Switch to receive sound direct from the audio loop system.
