Thanks to all those who have supported me so far. The good news is I now have enough from various sources to cover the basics of the conference. Unfortunately, the costs of the whole trip have turned out to be higher than I had hoped. I am trying to make the most of the opportunity by meeting people in my field of research in Poland and England on the way to and from Barcelona.

That’s why I haven’t asked people for money directly. When the winery offered to extend their support, I thought that it could be a win/win opportunity. Hopefully people who enjoy great wine will buy some at a bargain price and that will help offset some of my additional costs!
